The United World Colleges Eswatini National Committee (UWC Eswatini NC) was founded in 1982 and is a volunteer-based organisation responsible for the recruitment and selection of Swazi students who want to attend a United World College. Shortlisted students are placed in one of the 18 UWC schools around the world, with at least one student each year enrolling at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA in Eswatini

UWC has a network of 18 international schools on four continents, with volunteer-run national committees in more than 155 countries and territories. Today, 11,262 students from over 160 countries attend UWC schools.
UWC offers a challenging educational experience to a deliberately diverse group of students. It complements the high academic standards delivered through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) by placing a high value on experiential learning, community service and outdoor activities.
2025/2025 UWC OFFERS FOR ESWATINI
Each year, the UWC Eswatini national committee receives offers of entry from the UWC schools and colleges which includes financial aid, for which we select students to study the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. For 2025/2026, there are 9 offers that have up to fully-funded need based financial aid, and 1 partial-funded offer available.
APPLICATION TIMELINE
- 1 December 2024 - Application period opens
- 22 February 2025 - Application closes
- 22 February 2025 -All applicants write entry test at Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA
- March 2025 - Successful candidates will be invited for selection day interviews
- March 2025 - Final candidates nominated to UWC schools
- April 2025 - UWC Schools confirm/reject nominated students
- May 2025-Final students awarded UWC admission and financial aid
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Be an Eswatini citizen OR have Eswatini residency OR refugee status in Eswatini
- Must be a Form 5 / IGCSE graduate (2024) or current Form 5 student (2025)
- Maximum age of 19 years by 1 August 2025
- Academic requirement: average of minimum 70% overall in EGCSE / IGCSE results or national merit scholar (top 100 performers)
- Highly active in community engagement, great leadership skills, and extracurricular activities
- Has a good command of the English Language
APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
Applicants are also required to attach the following supporting documents:
- National ID or birth certificate
- Form 3 JC results and Form 5 / IGCSE results*
- Form 4 and Form 5 reports
- Recommendation letter from your head teacher
- Recommendation letter for extracurricular activities
- Proof of academic and non-academic achievements and leadership (certificates, awards, etc.)
*Form 5 / IGCSE results can now be submitted later once they are available!

The deadline to apply is 22 February 2025. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.
The process is simple and to begin:

Step 2: Create a new account using the 'Register’ button to the top right, using your email address and a password you must create.
Step 3: You will receive an email (please check spam/junk box) attached with a link asking you to confirm your email address. Please click on the link and you will be directed to the application page where you will log in with your email address and password.
Step 4: In order to determine if you are eligible and what application routes are available for you, fill out the Eligibility Profile form and ensure to select “UWC national committee” as the application route.
Step 5: Choose "UWC Eswatini NC - 2025/2026 Application" and start your application.
