Welcome to the application form to apply to a place at a United World College, via the UWC Ireland National Committee!

Applicants to UWC who apply through UWC Ireland should comply with the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants should be 16, 17 or 18 years old on the 1st of September of the year they wish to enter a United World College. Do note though that some colleges may require additional information and potentially a background check for nominated candidates who are over 18 on 1st Sept.
  • Applicants should have completed their Junior Certificate examinations at the time of application. An equivalent state examination will be considered by UWC Ireland should the applicant meet the other eligibility criteria.
  • Successful applicants will be representing Ireland at United World Colleges. Therefore applicants should be an Irish citizen or have lived in the Ireland (including Northern Ireland) for at least 3 of the 5 years prior to applying.
  • Applicants selected for interview must be available to attend the interview day in person. The interview day is generally held in Dublin in February of the relevant year.
