Welcome to the 2025 application cycle for UWC Jamaica!
This form is to be used for entry in 2025 (2026 Waterford Kamhlaba).
To be eligible, you must be:
- Jamaican national or resident. (If you are unsure whether you meet the nationality requirement, or have lived in Jamaica for less than five years, please email us ASAP at info@jm.uwc.org so that we can guide you accordingly.)
- Be between 16 and 18 years old in September 2025 or at time of entry
- Be at least of CXC CSEC standard, i.e. fifth, or lower sixth form;
- Have an academic record that predicts success in the academic rigors of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma; Minimum 80% average. If in lower sixth form, the majority of your CSEC grades should be a 1.
- You must be taking (if in 5th form) or have taken (if in 6th form) at least 6 CSEC subjects or their equivalent, including Mathematics and English A.
- Have a strong history of co-curricular involvement and community service; and
- Be mature enough to respond to the challenges inherent in living and studying abroad
