UWC Malawi National Committee (NC) - Scholarships For Entry 2025

Welcome to the UWC Malawi NC Scholarship Application for 2025 entry!

This form will allow you to apply for UWC Malawi NC scholarships to enter one of the United World Colleges (UWC) in 2025. Scholarships range from 80% to 100%, depending on your financial need. The UWC Malawi NC is responsible for selecting students from Malawi who have completed Form 4 (MSCE) and Form 5 (IGCSE) and are aged between 16 and 18 to attend the United World Colleges on scholarships. The deadline for submitting your application is January 1st, 2025 at 11:59 Malawi Time. You can find out more about this year's available opportunities HERE. Before submitting the form, be aware that besides specific application questions, you will be asked for two individuals you can contact as recommenders (academic and non-academic), your previous school year results, your MSCE or IGSCE final results, your scanned birth certificate, your scanned ID photo, your parents' signed consent for your application, and your passport page. 

NB: When requested to submit a document, all documents should be submitted as PDFs named in the format: Surname_FirstName_Document_Name e.g. Moyo_Mphatso_MSCEResults

Please note that you can ONLY submit this form ONCE.

Also, note that we will have virtual information sessions via Zoom to answer any questions along with UWC Malawi NC's current students and alumni. You can join us at 7 pm Malawi Time using the Zoom Meeting ID 920 5249 7886 on the following dates: 9 November 2024, 26 November 2024, or 7 December 2024.

Please read the following helpful instructions as you begin your UWC application:

1. The first step is to check if you are eligible to apply HERE. 
2. If this is your first time visiting the application page, do not click Apply. You need to Register and Create an account first. 
3. If possible, work on your application on a computer. It is not as convenient on a mobile phone. 
4. If you do not already have a Gmail ID, create one. Use this email ID to complete your application online and communicate with us. Use your official name for your email creation and on your application.
5. Once you have your email ID, please click on Register at the top right corner of this page to register for a Survey Monkey online application account. You will receive a confirmation email in your inbox. 
6. Do not forget the email that you use and the password you create on the UWC application page. You will need them to sign back onto the site again to work on your application later. 
7. Remember that your e-mail account password might differ from your UWC application's password. 
8. After creating your Survey Monkey account for the UWC application, follow these steps to access the UWC Malawi NC online application — Click Go to site—>View Programs —> Fill out the eligibility profile. 
9. For the application route questions, choose UWC National Committee, read, and checkmark both the UWC Data Protection Policy and UWC Privacy Statements. 
10. When done, click Save My Profile.  Now if you are eligible to apply, you should see the UWC Malawi National Committee. If you are not eligible, you will not see it. 
11. Next, click on MORE below UWC Malawi National Committee on the right then Click Apply at the top right of the page.
12. You can save your application in progress and work on it a little bit every day. You do not need to and should not finish your application in one sitting. 
13. Each time you work on your application, do not forget to click on Save and Continue Editing from time to time. This way if there is a sudden power cut, you will not lose your work. Also, consider having your responses saved elsewhere in case of any technical issues. 
14. To log back into the application site visit THIS LINK and log in using the email and the password you created in Step 6 above. If you forgot your password, click on Forgot Password and re-create your Survey Monkey account password. 
15. You must complete all parts of this online application and submit it by 1st January 2025 (11:59 pm Malawi time) to be considered for the selection process. Submitting an incomplete or late application disqualifies you. 
16. When you submit the application, make sure you see the Application Submitted message on your screen. You will also get a confirmation email after you successfully submit the application. So, do check your email after submitting your application.
